Respite and STA
Life can get overwhelming, especially when you are caring for someone with a disability.
Our respite and short-term stays give caregivers a chance to take a break. While you recharge, Trinity will provide supports as well as a safe and comfortable environment for your loved ones.

Overview
What is Respite and STA?
Respite is like a short break for caregivers and people with disabilities. Caregivers get some time off while the person they care for is supported by another caregiver either in their home or somewhere else.
STA (Short-Term Accommodation) includes respite and also provides alternative support when the usual carers are not available.
How does it work?
Contact us using the ‘Contact Us’ form on our website. A member of our team will be in touch within 24 hours to understand your needs and eligibility. Alternatively, you can email us at hi@trinitysupportaustralia.com.au
If you are eligible for respite or STA, you'll be connected with our respite team who will assist you every step of the way.
Our team will complete an assessment to help us to identify your individual needs and preferences. For the respite stay, you can pack any necessary essentials like medication, clothing or favorite activities.
During the stay, Trinity provides support with personal care, medication management, meals and activities.

We offer two convenient options for receiving care:
In Your Own Home - For low care needs, our team will provide supports at home or out in the community.
At Our Private Facility - For high care needs, we offer support in private residential homes. This option provides access to 24/7 support.

Core Services
Personal care: includes assistance with daily activities like getting dressed, bathing, toileting, and eating.
Meals: meals are typically provided, with options catering to specific dietary needs.
Medication management: We can help ensure that medications are taken correctly and on time.
Safe and comfortable environment: Our facility provides a safe and comfortable space to relax and feel cared for.
Additional Services (STA):
Skill development: Depending on what is in the NDIS plan, we can offer opportunities to learn new skills, such as cooking, using public transportation, or managing finances.
New experiences: we organise outings, trips, or participation in activities that participants wouldn't usually have the opportunity to do, helping build social interactions and exploration.
Temporary care: If a regular caregiver is unavailable due to illness, vacation, or other reasons, our STA can provide support during that time.
